Guild Goals
Guild Priorities and Goals:
(Updated: January 13, 2008)
Based on input from the guild, discussion with the officers, and many other inputs and factors I have come up with a set of goals and priorities for us to follow and work on. This is not a ‘do only one zone’ type of deal, but more of a prioritized list of what we are going to go after and work on. This will help our scouts to scout with purpose and will allow us to try and track spawn times on zones/mobs we want to go after. Time investments and returns on those investments were major factors on my decisions. Here is our plan, remember this WILL change so be sure to review it periodically!
Our priorities are:
-
Work on Demi-plane
-
TSS intermittently
-
Get Vish on farm status
-
*webmistress forgot what goes here*
-
Opportunistic mobs for gear upgrade
-
Farming DPOB
WHY: We are preparing for our next level of progression. To succeed we need to continue to farm for gear.
Our focus for recruiting will be quality over quantity. That means winning by improving our current player base and most of all our raiding strategies and how well we execute them. Does this mean we are not recruiting? No, not at all, it just means we have a set raid size we are shooting for and will not let ourselves 'bloat' any bigger than that. We are indeed looking for great players in certain classes so if you think you are a good fit be sure to check the Apply to Catalysts page.
Epic 2.0s offer so many things at various levels of progression. The gear that most the raid mobs drop can be so-so. The actual epic 2.0 items are good gear, and therefore we will support achieving the completion of these quests. We have a set of criteria to decide how when and where we do these raids. For the most part we do these type raids on off nights, and occasionally right before or after raid. People that nag and whine about their 2.0, though, are not a priority. Trial members are not supposed to utter the words "epic" until they are a full member.
If we can not work on any of the other five goals, we will hit any mob we find up that drops upgrades for our members. Every upgrade we get makes it that much easier to defeat some of the more difficult encounters ahead of us. Also, if we are on track with all our other goals, we may schedule what we are going to call a "Fun factor raid". These mean anything that amuses the raid leader.
